Sherwood Training
Sherwood Training delivers accredited physical-interventions and positive-behaviour-support training across education, health and social care. Their courses map to the sectors they serve, from learning disabilities and autism to mental health and older-adults services. We built them a WordPress site that lets a visitor start from the work they do and find the training that fits it.
The Nitty Gritty

What we did for Sherwood Training
A bespoke logo design, brand guidelines and print assets for the relaunch of the business
Migration of a legacy website, with best-practices and search-engines in mind
A modern WordPress build, with best-practice development and ongoing support
A filterable course catalogue that helps visitors quickly find the training relevant to their role
A simple course management system that lets the team add and publish new training
Flexible content blocks that let the team build and manage pages themselves
Each course is its own record, tagged by category and shown in a catalogue a visitor filters down to what they need. Somebody working in a school and somebody working on an NHS ward are after different training, and the filtering gets each of them to the right courses without reading past the ones that do not apply. Every course page carries its own detail and the accreditation logos that back it.
Sherwood's team adds a new course the way they add a news post: fill in the fields, publish, and it appears in the catalogue and its filters on its own. The related-accreditation logos, the listing image and the course detail are all fields on the record, so the catalogue stays consistent however many courses go into it. There is no page builder to wrangle.
Away from the catalogue, the site is built from bespoke content blocks we designed and made, assembled by Sherwood's team into whatever a page needs. News runs as its own section. Search covers the whole site, and GDPR-compliant cookie consent holds tracking back until a visitor agrees to it.
Sherwood's standing rests on its accreditation and its record with the organisations it trains. We gave that room in the design: accreditation marks sit with the courses they certify, and the training's reputation carries through the pages rather than being tucked away on an "about" page nobody reaches.
