Giving member charities a directory listing they run themselves.
Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service supports the city's voluntary and community sector: hundreds of charities, community groups, social enterprises and parish councils. We built PCVS a WordPress membership platform where those members join online, pay, and keep their own public directory listing up to date.

A directory the members keep current
Each member organisation is a profile in the members directory: who they are, what they do, how to reach them, which categories they work in. Visitors filter the directory by category and search by name, and more results load as they scroll. A logged-in member gets a dashboard where they edit their own basic details, contact information and full profile, and the change goes live on their public listing.
Joining online, from enquiry to listing
We built the join process as a guided, multi-step form on top of Restrict Content Pro. An organisation signs up, chooses its membership, pays through Stripe, and comes out the other side with an account and a directory profile ready to complete. The login, registration and profile screens are our own templates rather than the plugin's defaults, so the whole flow looks and reads like the rest of the PCVS site.
A site the team runs themselves
Away from the membership machinery, the site is composed from bespoke content blocks we designed and built, assembled by the PCVS team without a page builder. Events run as their own section with types and filtering. Search covers the whole site, and GDPR-compliant cookie consent holds tracking back until a visitor agrees to it.
