The Oaka Group

The Oaka Group approached us to refine the branding used on two restaurant and pub venues in Peterborough.

Brewery Tap Logo Design

It was hard work, coming up with this one. Not only is this one of our favourite local bars, which we had always thought needed a good re-brand, adding pressure to the project, but it also involved numerous trips to the venue itself, to eat the complimentary food, taste the real ale (the very core of the business, no less) and soak up the ambience. What a nightmare!

After sketching out many iterations we came back to our first idea. A simple solution with bold typography which reflects the stainless steel brewery, which dominated the main room, and the dark mahogany furniture everyone associates with this comfortable bar and restaurant. It'll soon be cut into steel and made into a back lit, electric blue sign, to be seen from afar. This...we cannot wait to see!

East Brand Development

Although the East logo had already been hand painted by Oaka Employee Adrian Crawley, we were asked to make it workable as a scalable logo and create the brand guidelines to ensure brand consistency going forward. To view this example of our brand guidelines, click here.

We also created an East wine menu, countless adverts for the Oaka group, and other marketing material.
