Shine
We were pleased to be asked to assist in the rebrand of national Spina bifida and Hyrdocephalus charity ASBAH, helping them make the move over to the more positive and memorable name and brand: Shine. Once the new logo and associated brand elements had been defined we went on to design and build their new website, which can been seen below.
Logo Design and Corporate Identity
The logo was a collaborative effort between ourselves and the Shine marketing team. They already had their new name defined and knew they wanted to incorporate a yellow circle due to the obvious reference to the shining sun’s positive connotations. We defined the brand palette, associated fonts and made the addition of a subtle ‘S’ ‘shine’ to give the icon some depth. An animated version of the logo can be seen on the new website we designed for them.

Web Design
The Shine Vision statement dictates they envision a society that meets the needs, values the contribution and celebrates the lives of people living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. The website was designed to help realise this vision. With the emphasis being on community, interaction and social networking we created a site which allows users to not only sign up and join the community, where they can learn about events and news local to them, but where they can also share their own stories, events and accomplishments. A series of ‘badges’ were designed to motivate people to contribute and share more often and the integration of Google maps allows users to find others in their surrounding community.
